Storing Frozen Bags

Just wondering how you store your frozen breastmilk bags?  It seems I keep needing a bigger container.  Right now I am using a shoebox temporarily for the frozen milk, and a plastic container to freeze the bags in.  I seem to be running out of space.  Just curious what you do when you get a larger stash.

  • I freeze my storage bags by laying them flat.  Once frozen I stack them upright in a box (also about the size of a shoe box).  I have some in my fridge freezer but also in my large deep freezer.

Awesome!  It won't work for my already stored milk, as I froze them upright, but I may start using that method from now on.  The bags she is using, are they lansinoh?  Just curious because I got some of them free with breast pads.  Thanks for the great link!

  • I keep my frozen storage bags in a tupperware container.  Once I have about a dozen or so, I put them in a gallon ziplock bag and put them in my deep freezer (dated of course).  That way, when I wean from EPing, I can just pull out a bag and defrost as needed.
