**tempewick**

Long time no see! In a post below you said you read Ferber and No Cry Sleep Solution. I have read just the No Cry Sleep Solution. Are you using a mix between the two methods? I don't know if I have really done sleep training perse but if LO has been fed and there is nothing I can do to stop him from throwing a fit (rocking, walking, bouncing, paci etc), I've let him CIO (no more than 5-10 minutes). Usually he falls asleep within about 4 min. Just curious to know what you are doing.

Re: **tempewick**

  • Hi! I read both books but decided that Ferber would work best for us. Charlie would cry before falling asleep no matter if I was holding him, rocking him, or if he was just laid in his crib, so Pantley's methods wouldn't have really worked. I used Ferber, but adjusted the check-in times to shorter times (which he says is OK and I felt more comfortable with it). It took about a week. We started with naps and then with bedtime and I can happily say we are tear-free before all naps and bedtime. Charlie goes down sleepy but awake for them all right in his crib and we are all happy and well-rested. :)
