DH and I agreed on two kids and I hated being pregnant. Now that we have two kids, I just don't feel that I'm done. However DH says he is done and is going for the snip on Wednesday, and I feel really bummed because this is it, no more babies.
Well, vasectomies can be reversed if the both of you decide to have one more. And there's also adoption if you wanted to go that way.
Have you two talked about why he wants to stop at 2 and you now want more? Maybe he's concerned about finances, the house, your health, his health, etc. Maybe the two of you can come to a compromise - you can go on long tern birth control and he can skip the vasectomy for now. Talk it out!

I hear you. DH is supposed to get snipped, but I think I'm going to get an IUD instead because while I *THINK* I'm done (and also HATE pregnancy) I am not ready to permanently give up my chances.

Both DH and I torn between 2 or 3 so we're just going the BC route.
OP, if you haven't already, I'd definitely talk this out with your husband. I'm pretty sure any man would like to hear about that uncertainty before going through the procedure!
I feel the exact same way as you...except minus the possible snip snip (DH refuses this). I don't feel done...but DH keeps saying he is not doing this again. He hates the newborn stage.

I'm with the others who are getting an IUD. DH really just wants two, and for many reasons, two makes the most sense to me. I don't want to be pregnant again (the last one was pretty rough), and I want to start using my time off from work to enjoy time with my family instead of having to hoard it for another maternity leave. I even sold the 0-3 month clothes DS outgrew already. But there's still a tiny part of me that isn't sure if we are done, so I'm going the IUD route in case I change my mind.
