How long does baby good keep?

If you open a jar of baby food how long does it keep in the fridge? I know if you feed right out of the jar it doesn't keep at all but I always put it in a seperate bowl and feed out of the bowl. She only takes a few spoonfulls and I hate throwing away almost a full jar of food.
