Is anyone elses LO teething yet? I think my DD just started last night. She has been drooling quite abit for awhile now but last night she was crying and in a lot of pain so we gave her Tylenol to help her sleep.

Re: Teething

  • I am pretty sure Andrew is... he's drooling, chewing on his hands, and biting everything he can.  He also likes to get his blanket in his mouth and rub it along his gums. It seems so early, so who knows?

Mine is doing the same exact thing.  When I took her to the pedi 2 weeks ago due to an eye infection, she looked in her mouth & confirmed that she was teething.  Her bottom gums are a little swollen.

  • Teething can last forever.  DD started showing signs that she was teething (biting on things, drooling like crazy, pulling on her ears, etc) when she was 3 months old.  She actually cut her first tooth three days before her first birth day.  It could def. be the begining of teething but that doesn't mean you will see a tooth any time in the near future or you could see a tooth soon.  You just never know!

  • doctor said he could be 'pre-teething' because of all the drooling... he also likes to suck his hand and his arm... he gave himself a hickey the other day... whoops!

    word.

Drew showed signs of "teething" for about three months before cutting his first tooth.

I always figure that chewing on their hands/fingers in the mouth is basically just a result of the fact that they are starting to have more control over their limbs and (for months to come) will do most of their exploring by putting things in their mouths.
