Not that it was AP specific, but some of the concepts felt AP-ish. The information about praise was a lot along the lines of Alphie Kohn. Anyways, just found the book very interesting.
I read it and also liked it, didn't love it. The thing that really stuck out to me was the info about kids' TV and relational aggression. Very interesting.
I'm slowly reading it...along with other things. I'm in the chapter that addresses talking to children about race. It's interesting, but a bit cumbersome to me. That's why I keep going to other things in between.

My favorite section was on lieing. As a teacher I get the, "but, my child doesn't lie to me" quote a lot. I would love to photo copy that chapter for each parent.
