DS is starting a new preschool soon (he is 3) and they do not warm up food. They are also nut free (which totally sucks cuz DS would just eat PBJ every day). DS does not eat cold cuts... any ideas of what I can send him with that does not require warming? I was thinking yogurt or hummus, but thats all I got right now

This link is really helpful (there's a PDF file that you can print out, too). I really like how she has everything organized into food groups, which is how I think when I'm making DD's lunch.
Instead of PBJ, you can do alternatives to peanut butter - almond (or other nut) butter or cream cheese & jelly.
We don't do lunch meats and avoid the sugar of PB&J.
When we go hiking, etc we usually pack tuna or chicken (from a can) sandwiches.
However....
For lunch each day my kids eat left overs from the night before.
They prefer them heated but will not turn their noses up at mac-n-cheese, etc if it's room temperature.
Have you tried left over dinner type foods at room temp?
Mine prefer that to sandwiches anyway.
