Anyone use Cetaphil?

I need a new face wash. Since going off bcp my acne is back in full force. Nuetrogena isn't working anymore. I'm thinking of using Cetaphil. It doesn't look like it has salicylic acid in it, which is good, but I'm wondering how it is for very oily skin.

  • I've used it before...no trouble with oily sking, but it won't make things better exactly either.  My dermatologist in the past said to use bar soap because it was more drying, however I would use the cetaphil lotion also because I needed the moisturizer for my patchy skin.

  • If you wear makeup, you will need to remove it with something else. Cetaphil is awful at removing makeup. I would recommend Purpose over Cetaphil because it removes makeup and is also pretty basic and gentle.

  • We use the wash and the lotion for our little man who has extremely sensitive skin, lots of allergies, and excema.  It's the only thing we've been able to use on him for any period of time.  Obviously, he doesn't wear makeup, so I don't know how it does for taking off makeup, but we couldn't go a day without it.
