DD is born the end of December and I have no clue where to hold her bday party at. Our house is way to small so it's out of the question. It will be about 50 guests.
DS was born in June and we had a huge party at a park with a water feature and rented out the place. It was perfect plus things for the little kids to do. I know the 1st birthday is mostly for adults but I have no clue of a place to hold a winter bday at. I'm stumped. Please help!
Re: Where to have a 1st birthday party in the winter!?
DD's birthday is in February, and for her 1st birthday we rented out a room at the local community center.
We set up a play area for the kids and they provided tables, chairs etc.
This is what we did as well. An activity table, a blow up pool with plastic balls, a tunnel and some various small toys. They loved it.
I agree with Mrs Wright---a community center/ park & rec center is a good option since it is an open room to do whatever you want. Lots of areas have them. Fair Oaks, Sacramento, Carmichael are just a few areas that have them. I am thinking some of the typical kid places (bounce house type) might be for older kids and not the birthday girl and all of the adults. The Sac Zoo has some indoor space for winter parties, but if it is raining, then they won't want to go outside to look at the animals. Or do you know someone that has a clubhouse for rent in their housing development?
Could do a fun Candyland theme---do some small centerpieces with lollipops, etc. that the guests could enjoy.

Depending on the ages of the other kids coming, you could rent the tumble bus. https://www.thebusybus.com/thebusybus.html
