And it was negative. Man that scared me. I felt like ok, if I am thats ok, I can handle it, everything will be fine. Then had panic attack as I waited for test to produce an answer...i took test bc im 3 days late, & have low back ache with nausa. Wondering if anybody on this board has recently took a prego test for 3rd kid & what they felt when they got a yes or no from test,?

Even though we were trying, my cycles are super irratic, so I wasn't even thinking I was pregnant when I took the test. It had been a while since my last period so I tested on a whim.

After I got the positive, I called my sister to freak out, while pacing in my driveway and eventually throwing up! I was excited, but shocked.

You're most likely not PG if you got a negative.

PP cycles can be wacky in terms of length/symptoms.

I was trying for a 3rd... just a little shocked that it happened right away!  I was happy but I don't think it really set in until I hit the 2nd tri.

We are "trying" now, and have been for the past 2 months.  I am not doing anything, we are just not using protection.  With DS, we needed fertility treatment and with DD I never even got a post partum AF, pg right away.  

Since we started "trying" I have been going back and forth - one minute I can't wait to have a third kid, the next I am terrified of the thought...I took a test this past cycle - I wasn't late, but was having some symptoms, and it was driving me crazy not knowing.  I was actually a bit relieved when it came back BFN (but sad also!).  I would like more kids, but age is not on my side.  And I don't want the third to be much younger than the others and always be left out.  

Anyways, I totally understand the mix of emotions with the 3rd child thing!!

DH had a vasectomy.  I'm five days late and starting to freak.  I know it's completely irrational.  Pre-babies, my cycles were like clockwork and now I'm all over the place.  I makes me nuts.  I would be a horrible mess if I got another BFP.

Hasn't happened for us, but I can imagine the conflicted emotions if it did.  We are thinking about trying again soon.  Part of me really wants to because we do want more children, and like pp said, I don't want #3 to be left out with the others so close in age.  But I feel like I JUST got 2u2 under control (if you can call it that), and the thought of #3 is so scary.  We're not TTC at the moment, but I think about this every day.
