Ovulation issues?

I have PMDD and have awful PMS the week before AF. For several months now I've noticed major changes when I am ovulating. I am super angry, awful acne and really bad pain are just a few things. It happens every month about 10 days after the start of AF and I know I am ovulating (without giving TMI). 

Anyone else experience severe ovulation issues? My gyn wants me to start the pill this month for it. I really hate taking hormones when it seems like my body is already having hormonal issues. 

ETA- I changed the PPD to PMDD. I'm a fool.

For me ovulation is worse than AF. I get severe pains and mood swings, and also pimples. I hate it. I also refuse to go back on BC, so I guess I have to just deal with it.
