I love our RARs but they leaked twice last night. Should the rise be adjusted or the waistband? Should I change the insert configuration? We've been using the smaller newborn insert, And do the inserts have to be tag up or tag down to work better? TIA.

Where are they leaking? Out of the waist? Out of the legs?

Are the inserts soaked when you take the diaper off?  If so, add more absorbency.

Where are the leaks - at the legs, waist?  It might just be that the RaR isn't a snug enough fit on your LO.  I know RaR can fit smaller babies better than other OS options out there, but your LO is still a tiny nb so they might not fit perfectly yet.

was the insert soaked?  if so I'd try using the bigger one.  if that's not it then I'd mess around with the fit.

if the inserts are unsnapped then it doesnt really make a difference, if they're snapped down then i put the folded/snapped part in the front for my son

How much does your little guy weigh?  I would try adding a hemp insert with the newborn insert for overnights if you think that you don't have enough absorbency.  Were the inserts soaked when the leaks happened?

I started putting the snapped area in the back because I was getting leaks out the back. But their hemp inserts are pretty much awesome and I haven't had any leaks since switching to those.

I think they're leaking at the legs.

And he weighs 9lbs 11oz.

You may want to shorten the rise. That helps me get a tighter fit on the legs sometimes. Does he have skinny legs?
