Opinions please :)

So, we have our anatomy scan tomorrow and we are only in the beginning stages of picking names but I wanted to get everyone's opinions on a few names we are considering.  I know I can depend on all of you to give me your honest opinions.  These are all first name options.  We haven't even thought of middle names yet.  Also, I'm not worried about spelling at this point and our last name starts with L.  Thanks everybody!For a boy: Braydon, Dane, Ethan, Logan, Ryan, Seth, Kyle,TrentFor a girl: Avery, Katelyn, Ella, Lindsay, Olivia, Quinn, Riley, Ryder, Morgan, Lauren, Erika

Most of the girl names are NMS.  I can sort of get on board with Avery.  Although, I'm not a fan that it's unisex.

I like all of your boy names except Trent. Braydon, Ethan and Logan are way too popular around here so i wouldn't use them myself but I like them. for a girl I like Ella, Quinn and Lauren. I LOVE Olivia but once again just too popular for me. My name is Ashley so i have issues with popularity. lol. Also, just a thought but I could never name my daughter Ryder b/c I would be too scared of the jokes when it comes to jr high and high school.Just think how cruel kids are. You don't want any tormenting or teasing but especially not sexual comments to your daughter. JMO Good luck!

The only name on your list that I really can't stand is Braydon. I can't help but think of donkey sounds when I see the name. Plus I think it sounds very immature, as if a teenager named the baby.

Ryder is a little bit trashy sounding for a girl. That name is prime for making crude jokes by boys as she gets older.

My faves are: Dane, Ethan & Seth for a boy and Avery, Lauren, Erika and Riley for a girl.

HATE HATE HATE Braydon... loved it before it became so popular, but I literally know like 6, and I just can't take it anymore.  Love Logan and Ethan, the rest are nice but not my favorites.

Avery, Riley and Ryder I do not like at all, Katelyn is spelled weird.  I like Morgan the best of that bunch.  Olivia is way overdone around me, I think Lindsey and Erika sound very dated, but not bad overall.

I also like Trent and Ethan.

 

For girls, I like Katelyn, but I've always seen it Caitlin. I like Riley and Olivia and Quinn too, but now I associate it with Glee.

For a girl - I second the Ryder comments. Kids are cruel.

Out of your choices I prefer: Ethan, Logan, Seth, Avery, Ella, Olivia, and Quinn.  Fyi I know a ton of people that have recently named their baby Olivia and I have nieces named Avery and Ella, they are very popular names, but still pretty.

Well Braydon is pretty trendy right now, he might have a lot of classmates with that name, same with Olivia for a girl. I like Ryan and Logan for a boy. Classic but not boring. For a girl Avery is pretty. I also like Morgan. I think Ryder is very unique, but think of the jokes kids could come up with for that name! Quinn is my least favorite.

Love Trent and Avery! In reality, I like all your names with the only exception being braydon. I just think the -ayden type names are to trendy and goofy.

Hate Braydon - way too trendy and cheesy in my opinion...

I can't say I am a huge fan of any of the girl names... I know a boy named Avery so it's definitely a unisex name... Not into the way Katelyn is spelled... Seems like just another one of the millions of variations of girls names that start with a K and have a Y in them as opposed to the way it's normally spelled. Ella is pretty but very common these days. Lindsay, Morgan and Erika seem a little 90s (as in 1990s) to me... Lauren is a nice, classic name...

Olivia is way overused these days. Don't like Quinn, Riley or Ryder at all...

For your boy names, I like Ryan and Kyle.  For your girl names, I only like Lauren.

Like:  Logan, Ryan, Avery, Erika (but prefer Erica)

Fine, but NMS:  Kyle, Katelyn, Ella, Riley, Morgan

Dislike:  Braydon, Dane, Trent, Quinn, Ryder (Sorry, but I think this is HORRIBLE for a girl -- not to mention the tease potential when she is in HS)
