do you give your toddler any "nakey time"?

I just asked my sister about this yesterday.  Jimmy is only naked when I change him out of his clothes to get into the bath.

Should he have some nakedy time to air out his boy bits or something? I never thought about it until now - since I'm home during the summer and he sometimes has prickly heat on his heiny.

Thoughts?

E will get about 20 mins of naked time when she goes to and from the bath. We will usually let her run around after her bath for a bit but we don't do it for too long.

We just started doing this more since DD has been getting some diaper rashes due to teething.  I am striping her down when we walk in the door from daycare and letting her run around for maybe 30 minutes naked in the evenings.

Probably a total of about 20-30 min a day.  Mostly after our morning shower while I get ready.

My DD has nakey time for abt 20 or 30 minutes before her bath in the evening. We take a walk right before that so lately, shes pretty sweaty & it helps her cool off & airs her out. She loves it!! Sometimes it gets a little messy, but it's not usually bad...we have hard wood floors though.

Yeah, every now and then, if I see his bottom can use a break.

We have wall-to-wall carpet, so the only nakey time is right before and after bath.

When she's a little older, she will be able to control the urge better.  She used to pee everytime the air hit her.  Now she can run around naked for 20 minutes and most of the time it's not a problem.

And yes, I love giving her nakey time - because her butt is so darn cute.

I only do it when she has diaper rash, we haven't had naked time since she started walking, so she peed 3 times, and freaked out every single time. I explained her that was because of her diaper that she didn't notice. The nex time she managed to hold it somehow.

Daria gets 30 minutes a day. If we skip a couple of days she gets a diaper rash. After she has already developed a diaper rash I let her run naked for a couple of hours. It heals so quickly when she is naked that you can practically see it get better in front of your eyes.

Never ever ever in her life has she had nakey time, unless you count being naked EXCEPT with a diaper.

I let Bean run around outside (in the backyard) naked after dinner.  The sun is low enough by then, and our backyard is in full shadow, so I'm comfortable with his sweet baby skin being exposed outdoors. 

The other day, he discovered that pee comes out of his penis.  He was fascinated.

Then today, he peed right before he got in the tub on the floor, then after the bath i let him run to DS down the hall, and started to pee on DH's feet. So no more nakey time for a while.

Not usually b/c we have carpet upstairs where he would run around before/after bath. 

I'm not opposed to it outside after swimming or something like that.

No, we don't do any naked time except changes and bath. I don't want to clean up pee....LOL.

Yes. It started a couple of months ago when it got hot and we would let him run around outside naked in the baby pool. When we realized he was doing a good job holding pee, we started doing it inside "just to see". He started letting us know immediately that he would need a diaper by bringing me one when he had to pee or poop.

Now he runs around the house naked because we have been potty training him and it is the best way to get him to tell me if he needs to go. So far, no accidents.

We do lots of diaper free time.  She's prone to rashes, and we've been trying to EC (elimination communication) since six months.  And recently she's shown a lot of interest in the potty, so there's lots of diaper free time.  (I'm in the PacNorthwest, so she usually still has babylegs and a shirt on since it's not all that hot.  Yesterday, when it was warm for us, she had lots of totally-naked time.)  Sometimes she pees on the floor, so we tend to stay off the carpeted areas, but I try to catch the pees in thel ittle potty.  She LOVES being without a diaper and walks better that way.

Yes, I think it is her most favorite part of the day!  She does pee every once in awhile.  I usually sit her on the potty for a bit first and then let her run free.  Usually before and after baths

There has been a lot of nakey time lately on the deck while they swim in the kiddie pool. That way if there is an accident it is easily cleaned. They get so excited when the diapers come off!

Ophelia doesn't get a lot of nakey time but she gets it occasionally.  When we're at the farm and she's in the kiddie pool she's naked, sometimes after a diaper change she gets some time if she runs off :-)  As potty training gets going she'll get more probably (dresses with no bottoms).

Tons. But it's hot and DS likes to go on the potty. I don't think it's a necessity or anything.

She runs around a lot with training pants on just because I don't want her nekkid butt on stuff.  It was more of an issue before she started walking, though.

For the past month or so, she held her pee for at least an hour at a time.  Today and yesterday have been great - she held it for 5 hours twice today!  

She's only peed on the floor a handful of times, but I don't mind cleaning it up.  I stick a sposie down and stand on it to absorb as much as I can, then take it from there.  It's inconvenient to clean, but it's a natural process and she needs to learn what it feels like and therefore how to control it.  I wish we had a house so that she could roam around outside and pee freely.

After bath time little man runs  naked for like  half  an hour. if he pees, i clean it up.

I have never given Matthew naked time. He has only had one heat rash & has never had a diaper rash. I've heard that naked time helps out when they have diaper rashes.
