DD starts uniforms daily this Fall--she'll only wear the jumper or skort (seems very few girls wear the pants or shorts at all). So how many should we have? How many shirts? Would you do all polo type or buy some blouses too? What about sweaters or cardigans? I never wore uniforms so it's all new to me. She has 1 jumper & 1 skort because they wore uniforms (by choice) on church days last year. FWIW-we live in Colorado so it gets cold/snowy. Thanks!

Re: How many uniforms?
Christmas 2011
My plan is to get 5 bottoms, 6 or 7 polos (probably 2-3 long sleeved and 3-4 short sleeved), 3 cardigan sweaters, and 1 sweatshirt. She will have to wear the pants and she'll need the sweaters because winter is freezing here. Then probably 2 pairs of shoes.
I only do laundry once a week in my house, so I want her to have enough for each day of the week.
B was in uniforms last year...I bought 2 pants initially and 3 shirts/1 sweatshirt. He went 3 days/week. I lasted about 2 months before I couldn't take it anymore and bought another pair of pants (and eventually LS shirts). I HIGHLY recommend you buy at least 5 outfits if she is going 5 days. It is such a pain to make sure he has something ready.
N is going in the fall, 2 days. I'm buying one jumper, 1 skirt/skort, and 3 tops (one blouse, 2 polos).
I am planning to buy
3 jumpers
3 long sleeve blouses
3 short sleeve blouses
2 cardigans
1 blazer
2 ties
5 knee socks
assorted matching plaid scrunchies, head bands, etc.
If our uniforms were generic navy polos, etc, I would buy 5 days worth so I just had to wash them on the weekends. Unfortunately, ours are a pretty specific plaid with school crest and can only be ordered from one store--so of course the store knows they can charge an arm and a leg. I may regret it, but we're going to attempt to cheap out on the uniforms.
Oh yeah, totally forgot, we have to buy 2 sets of gym uniforms, as well. Shorts, t-shirts and warm-up suits.
