We found out we're having a girl (much to our surprise!). We've decided on a name but still up in the air about the spelling. What do you think?!
Please give me your input, thank you!!

For that pronounciation, you can't have an 'a' in it, it doesn't make sense. Rosalyn, is said Rosa-lyn.
I don't think they are just seperate spellings, they are different names.

MsAshB:Well the original spelling is Rosalynn, like Rosalynn Carter, and is pronounced without the strong A sound.
and the even more original origin is Rosalind
That's not how Jon Stewart pronounces it...

I love Rosalind! But I am into Shakespearean names.
If you are going to pronounce the name as two syllables, I agree with PPs that Rosalyn would be confusing.
alieb82:I like Rosalyn because Roslyn is the name of a town next to me in NY.
Same here but VA not NY.
wrt your poll though, sorry I didn't see the pronunciation pref before I voted. If that''s how you want it pronounced then I would go without the a.
