Crazy 8 clothes

Saw Jettagurl's recommendation yesterday for boy's jeans from Crazy 8. I've never heard of the store before -- is it just online or do they have stores in some parts of the country? Also, if you have bought their clothes, what do you think of the quality? Do they wear well? Do they run true to size or a bit bigger/smaller than other brands?

Re: Crazy 8 clothes

  • I love Crazy 8, and I buy most of DS's stuff there. I think the quality is good. It is a sister company of Gymboree, so basically their cheaper brand.

I had a bunch of stuff from them when DD was a baby, and I kept most of it. Some of the one piece outfits got pills on them, but she was also crawling at the time.

I find that they run pretty true to size. My DS wears 12-18 month, but he also wears cloth diapers. He is 22lbs, but I have no idea how long.

They have really good sales too. I got something like 4 pairs of pants, 8 shirts, a jacket and some sock for $60.

  • Yes they do have actual stores.  They are owned by Gymboree and are their affordable line.  I like their clothes and for my kids they clothes run true to size for them.  If you go to their website they do have a store locator link at the top.  www.crazy8.com

  • Wow, they actually DO have a store in my area. It's just in a mall I never go to, so I never noticed it before.
  • good quality, but I think the clothes run wide.  I bought DS size S for next year and it's huge on him.  According to their size chart, this is the size he should be.  But, I think they have awesome sales on boys' stuff, which I think is sometimes hard to find in comparison to girls' clothes.

  • I love their stuff!  I agree it runs wide, and for my boys it runs a bit large (especially as DS1 moved into the big boy line, the XS was a jump from the 4-5T shirts).

I think it wears well, particularly for the price.    Highly recommend it - it's a mainstay in our house, especially for school clothes that are going to get covered in dirt/paint/etc.  I don't feel bad throwing away a stained item once in awhile because I only paid $2-3 for it :)

  • We like them. Their jeans are good quality and a nice soft fabric. They're some of the only jeans DD likes to wear. I think that for girls they run a bit slimmer than Gymboree, no idea about boys.

  • I really like that store.  There's one in a mall super close to my house (like, I could walk there if I wanted to!) and I stop in frequently.  Too frequently :)

  • We've just recently started going there.  A Gymbo moved out of my fave mall, and Crazy8 moved in.  I bought a couple things there in early summer for N, and B got 3 outfits for his birthday (one for summer, 2 for school - so he hasn't worn much).  The quality seems better than ON/Target brand, it's supposed to be Gymbo's cheaper lower line, but I think they're comparable. They aren't as 'themed' as Gymbo, IMO, more plaids/solids/prints.  I've been impressed.
