I'm not pregnant, and probably won't be for a few years, but I would love opinions on my top 5 girl names and my top 5 boy names. I've always had a love for names and their history and etymology. I've had some of these names picked out since I was 12 or so, haha.
Top 5 girls:
Adelaide Elizabeth (Addie) - I know the nn is becoming really popular, but that doesn't bother me.
Eloise Cordelia (Ellie) - Same with the nn as above.
Hadley Kate
Josephine Adele (Josie)
Sarah Elizabeth
Top 5 boys:
Asher Finn
Benjamin Charles (Ben)
Charles Henry (Charlie)
Elijah Christopher (Eli)
Reid Alastair/Alasdair
Re: I'd love opinions on future names. :)
Love your choices...
Adelaide Elizabeth & Benjamin Charles (Ben) are my favorites!!Top 5 girls:
Adelaide Elizabeth (Addie) - Love this one.
Eloise Cordelia (Ellie) - This might be my favorite.
Hadley Kate - I'm not fond of the name Hadley. It also reminds me of the Sookie Stackhouse books.
Josephine Adele (Josie) - Very nice.
Sarah Elizabeth - Too plain, but pretty and classic.
Top 5 boys:
Asher Finn
Benjamin Charles (Ben)
Charles Henry (Charlie)
Elijah Christopher (Eli)
Reid Alastair/Alasdair
I love all of your boy names.
I like all of your girls' names except Hadley. I cannot imagine and adult Hadley, and I definitely think of it as a very "2011" name. I prefer traditional over trendy.
I love the combination of Eloise Cordelia, but I don't like the NN Ellie. I think you should use the full name. Ellie is so overdone, but Eloise is fresh and beautiful. I wold also love Cordelia as a first name.
I love all of your boy's names, but my favorite is Asher Finn. I also love the NN Eli, but I prefer Elias as a full name.
All great choices!
I am biased as I have a Hadley Kate. She was named after (female) relative on my H's side of the family, so I can assure you that the name ages beautifully into an adult.
(Good thing my LO was born in 2010, since this name screams 2011! )
I love Josephine from your girls list.
I like Elijah, Reid, and Benjamin from your boys list.
