Back to work

I'm back to work after a nice long weekend. Dc is closed this week so I was off with ds for 2 days and dh is taking today and tomorrow. I'm going to miss ds! How is everyone's day going?

I shouldn't be online at all - I'm trying to get a lot done today!

So far a good day.  We've cleaned up a bit, read a lot of books, played with lots of cars, watched the big digger working across the street and took a walk. S is supposed to be napping, but I'll settle for quiet play in his room for a hour or so. O and I are going to wash dishes and clean up the kitchen.  I'm sure he's very excited about that. lol

I'm getting lots crossed off my "to do" list today and that feels good.  Better get back to it.  :)

  • DH is on a business trip, so I'm extra-tired from taking care of everything by myself. I have to leave about 20 minutes earlier than usual to get to work on time, and it takes longer to get ready (at least it does if DS wakes up early before I'm ready). And the difference in the routine is throwing DS off so day care drop offs have not been fun this week. Plus, DH usually has DS duty on Fridays since that's his day off, but since he's out of town, DS will have to go to day care tomorrow for an extra day.

It was also supposed to be a quiet week at the office, since so many people are on vacation this week, but that turned into those of us who are here scrambling to take care of unexpected stuff that those on-vacation people usually handle.

To say I'm looking forward to the weekend would be quite the understatement!

That always seems to be the case for me.  I've learned to never say out loud that things should be quiet, it always causes things to go nuts!  :)

  • Things have gotten a bit stressful here.  I've got that super stressed out feeling, where DS is pulling in one direction, DH in another and work in another.  Maybe I need to think like the mother in the Incredibles and just keep on stretching!
