We just did a skin test almost 2 weeks ago on my kids and found out they are allergic to milk. I'm also suspecting soy intolerance. We've eliminated all soy and dairy for those 2 weeks and things are looking up. Yay! We go back to the allergist in another 2 weeks to go over some results, ask questions and talk about next steps.
I keep reading things on this board and on random boards on Baby Center about FPIES, IgE, IgG, MSPI, etc etc etc. I want to understand it ALL and what every one of these things is and how they specifically work in my kids' bodies and how what they eat affects them. I have a Bachelor's degree in Biology, so the info and terminology isn't above my head if I read it... I just can't seem to find any reliable sources that puts it all in one place. What are your medical sources for your info? What good websites can you recommend so that I can better understand all the different medical aspects of allergies, and arm myself with informed questions for our allergist? Thanks!
Re: Science nerd here. Give me the allergy details.
i probably won't help you with the terminology since i myself don't get it and i probably never will. I get most of my resources from forums (i belong to a few yahoo groups which are super helpful)..
here are some links..

Yahoo groups
Which Yahoo groups do you belong too?
foodallergynetwork
TerrificKidsWFA
fasters
and a tampa FA network which i accidentally joined (i don't live in Tampa)
i don't really post there anymore.. i did a lot when i first joined and had a million questions. and now i mainly just get the emails about other posts and read them and get so much good info just from reading the emails.
I use to belong to a few others but i think i got kicked out b/c i don't post. Some require you to be active.
