When should I start prepping CDs? I'm due October 16th. I have written on my calendar to start prepping them at 35 weeks (Sept 11th). Our current stash isn't large enough for a load of laundry (6 bG 4.0, 12 prefolds, and a bunch of inserts). My shower is August 6th and I anticipate that we'll finish up our stash after that.
Is 35 weeks a good time to start? Or should I start sooner? We are planning on using prefolds and covers while LO is a NB and I realize that those need to be washed a boat load of times...
Re: When to start prepping?
I prepped my CDs in three batches:
1) prefolds and other natural fibers (washed four times)
2) PUL covers and pockets (washed once)
3) last minute natural fiber CDs that I got off my registry (I didn't get any CDs at my shower)
My first batch was prepped around Week 32 because I was too antsy to wait :-) We, too, are using prefolds, fitteds, and covers as she is a tiny bean still.
Good luck and happy prepping!!
Thanks!
I'm hoping we get a few CDs at my shower. I set up an Amazon Baby registry with all of our CD stuff on it and am crossing my fingers some of our OOS family will shop from it.
