(1) What week are you in/how old is your LO?

Libby is 17 months old and I am 12 weeks pregnant.

(2) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or news in the last week to share?

The past week has been INSANE. Many, many crazy things going on and I hope to be able to tell all soon!

(3) Next appointment date? Any big ultrasounds/other exciting stuff coming up?

Friday, regular appt. with OB on Friday (we'll have a u/s) and then again next Tuesday for our genetic screening tests with the perinatologist. If all checks out then I'll finally be able to announce our news to my colleagues and FB friends, etc. Can't wait because believe it or not I am starting to show a bit. I've started wearing a Bella Band all the time now...crazy!

(4) What's been your greatest BR challenge this past week?

Both Libby and I have had head colds since last Friday...runny noses, coughs, sore throats, etc. UGH.

(5) Who do you plan on having/did you have in the delivery room? Why?

For Libby is was DH, my mom and our doula as well as the OB and hospital L&D nurses. For this one, probably the same, except for my mom who will be with Libby at home. Unless we can arrange for a friend to watch her, then my mom can come for L&D.

(6) What is something you said you'd never do but then you did? Mamas-to-be: What's something you say you'd never do but secretly think you might?

Bedshare...I was TOTALLY against it pre-baby and 100% for it once she arrived. This time, we'll bedshare from day 1 (at home) with the new baby.

(7) What are you LO's favorite activities/toys by age?

LOVES books and will spend lots of time going through her books on her own. She "reads" them...it's so cute...little jibberish as she runs her fingers along the words. She also LOVES her baby dolls and stuffed animals and pretends to feed/bathe them, dances with them and is always hugging and kissing them. She's also really into the playground and splash pads here...she'll swing for 30-40 minutes/time if we let her. And likes climbing up and down the stairs on the play equipment, goes down the slides, etc.

(1) What week are you in/how old is your LO? 14.5 months
(2) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or news in the last week to share? Tiiiiired. I stayed up late reading last night (bad I know), but the real reason is because Will is going through some separation anxiety right now - he's a daddy's boy, and I think it's been hard on him with Ben away. Anyway, for us that means that when he wakes up at night to change positions, he doesn't immediately fall back asleep - he cries and wants me there to reassure him...and he needed reassuring every 10 min from 3-4am last night.
(3) Next appointment date?  Any big ultrasounds/other exciting stuff coming up? They're getting their ears checked by a specialist at the end of next month. They haven't had an ear infection in a while, but they're so prone to them that our doc recommended we get them checked just in case.
(4) What's been your greatest BR challenge this past week? Solo parenting. That's probably going to be my answer to this for a while lol!
(5) Who do you plan on having/did you have in the delivery room? Why? Just Ben, and that's all I had, and I was 100% happy with that! I would have been too self-conscious with anyone else there (even my Mom, who is very anti-drug for births and I knew ahead of time I would probably want an epidural lol!).
(6) What is something you said you'd never do but then you did? Mamas-to-be: What's something you say you'd never do but secretly think you might? Well...having kids, for a start. I was pretty iffy on the whole parenthood thing for a long time lol! Aside from that, I'd say probably CIO, which I'd had an "ZOMG no, that's so mean!" kneejerk reaction to. We had to do a modified version with Will when he was on nap strikes one week, and it was absolutely what he needed to get back into the sleeping groove.
(7) What are you LO's favorite activities/toys by age? Let's see...they've loved musical toys since about 8 weeks old. After about 3 months, it was all books, all the time (and still is). When they hit about 8 months, they started really getting into blocks. These days, they love their books, anything they can build with, and anything noisy and action oriented.

(1) What week are you in/how old is your LO? 11.5 months
(2) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or news in the last week to share? He truly and officially walked yesterday!!!  He's been taking up to 6-7 steps in the past two weeks, but yesterday he pulled out all the stops and took about 20 steps!!!  I've been working on a video montage for his upcoming birthday party, and wanted one last clip of him walking, so I've been walking around with the Flip in my pocket for the past week, just in case.  Luckily, I did sense something was about to happen, so I whipped it out and managed to get it on and ready and I got it on film!  I literally jumped up and down I was so excited!  I'm so proud of him!  I can tell he's been wanting so badly to walk more than a few steps, and he was excited, too.
(3) Next appointment date?  Any big ultrasounds/other exciting stuff coming up? In a few weeks for his 12-month appt.
(4) What's been your greatest BR challenge this past week? MH has been working a lot of hours, and late ones (he often doesn't get home until midnight) lately.  It's been a little hard on me (especially since I'm off for the summer, so I'm a SAHM at the moment - I know everyone's different, but I struggle with not getting that "break" that I call work at least once in a while), but I understand why.  We're refinancing our house, and to do that the best way, we're paying down a chunk of the mortgage up front.  It'll give us a lot more long-term security, but it's stressful in the short-term.  The good news is that at the moment I'm getting a break (we still send H to daycare two mornings a week in the summer since we have to pay for it anyway to keep our spot for next year), and I'm actually TAKING a break today (usually I run around doing errands and cleaning when he's there).  I'm also looking forward to MH being off this weekend so we can celebrate out 2nd anniversary.
(5) Who do you plan on having/did you have in the delivery room? Why? Just MH.  I wouldn't have minded my sister, too (no one else, though!), but they wouldn't let he since it was in the OR.
(6) What is something you said you'd never do but then you did? Mamas-to-be: What's something you say you'd never do but secretly think you might? Hmmmm, I can't think of anything at the moment.  However, even though I never said I wouldn't, I am shocked daily by the things I do that do not bother me in the slightest as a mama, i.e. wiping his nose with only my bare hand if absolutely necessary which I did yesterday! 
(7) What are you LO's favorite activities/toys by age? He loves anything that plays music, and started "dancing" to it around 6 months, and still does.  He seems to love anything yellow, which started around 8 months, and will always choose any yellow toy out of a pile (because it's bright?  I don't know....)  He LOVES roughhousing and hanging upside down! Yesterday in his new pool that his Bubbie and Poppy sent for his birthday (early so he could enjoy it all summer)!

(2) Any new milestones or news in the last week to share? does testing out vocal chords in the middle of the night for no apparent reason count?  well, he also says a couple cute things - "keen" for lightning mcqueen and "job" (w/ clapping!) for good job, lol

(4) What's been your greatest BR challenge this past week? he's got a cold, DH blames me for taking him to gym class where they don't wipe down all the equipment every 2 seconds.  also the night terros

(5) Who do you plan on having/did you have in the delivery room? Why?  This was made easy for me since I delivered during the lockdown/H1N1 scare here - DH was the only one allowed in the hospital at all. I liked it, but DH said he always imagined running out to the waiting room to update people as to what was goign on.  We were doing that via text message most of the time.

(6) What is something you said you'd never do but then you did? Mamas-to-be: What's something you say you'd never do but secretly think you might?  where do I start? lol having kids, bedsharing, licking my finger and wiping something off his face...

(7) What are you LO's favorite activities/toys by age?  right now he's still big on anything with wheels, or any kind of ball, watching musicals on tv (currently, Lemonade Mouth), he likes the gym class about when it's over, loves swimming, loves reading - a lot of times he will go off by himself and flip through his books and "read" them outloud when he wants some alone time lol

(1) What week are you in/how old is your LO?  R just turned 3 months on Saturday! 
(2) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or news in the last week to share?  I'm feeling much better these days.  R is sleeping better (or maybe I'm just adjusting to his small random sleep patterns), but it seems to be getting easier. 
(3) Next appointment date?  Any big ultrasounds/other exciting stuff coming up?  Not until DS 4 month appointment in August and he gets his 2nd set of shots
(4) What's been your greatest BR challenge this past week?  Actually finding a new pedi out here.  This month has been such a cluster with moving and living with my SIL that I have yet to find a new pedi...I better start working on that huh??
(5) Who do you plan on having/did you have in the delivery room? Why?  It was just me and MH which I preferred.  I didn't want to have a lot of people in there which would have stressed me out.  For us, it was perfect with just the two of us.  If/when we have another LO we will more than likely do it the same way.
(6) What is something you said you'd never do but then you did? Mamas-to-be: What's something you say you'd never do but secretly think you might?  So far I have done everything I said I would do.  Nothing has really shocked me...yet
(7) What are you LO's favorite activities/toys by age?  Right now R is finally starting to get into toys at 3 months and they mostly consist of rattle and light up type toys.  He also loves the play mat and loves batting at the things hanging in his face.  It will be more fun when he starts to master the grabbing and holding of the toys, but for now it's fun to see his face when he plays
(8) What other questions would you like to see in upcoming check-ins?  How do you manage stress and what do you do help ease it?

(1) What week are you in/how old is your LO? 36wks, 3 days
(2) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or news in the last week to share?Good! Don't feel much different than before. It takes a little longer to walk places, but other than that, I feel the same as usual. It might be me putting labor and childbirth out of my mind because it's a scary thought. Oh, and the whole caring for a newborn thing after that. AH!
(3) Next appointment date?  Any big ultrasounds/other exciting stuff coming up? Monday for a weekly. Tuesday for the ECV. 
(4) What's been your greatest BR challenge this past week? A breech baby! He just doesn't want to turn, I guess. We decided to try an ECV, so we're scheduled for next week. Just hoping it's successful and goes well (and no need for an emergency c-section). 
(5) Who do you plan on having/did you have in the delivery room? Why? Just Cullen. I do not want anyone else there peeking at my bits and possibly seeing me freak the F out. My mother keeps hinting she wants to try and fly in for it so to call her AS SOON as I think I'm going in to labor so she can change her ticket. Thanks but no thanks, Ma.
(6) What is something you said you'd never do but then you did? Mamas-to-be: What's something you say you'd never do but secretly think you might? Hmm... I'm not sure? I don't really have anything set in stone. I feel kind of like a terrible mother because, oddly enough, I'm super laid back about it all. I figure I'll figure it out/see what works best once he's here? Is that a terribly shoddy plan?

(1) What week are you in/how old is your LO?  8 months on Saturday!  I can't believe how quickly time has flown by
(2) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or news in the last week to share?  Feeling pretty good.  Still trying to relax about sleep issues.
(3) Next appointment date?  Any big ultrasounds/other exciting stuff coming up? Development screen next week, I'm looking forward to seeing what they have him do, it's fun to watch!
(4) What's been your greatest BR challenge this past week?  See my previous post on sleep!  And teething, ugh.  Now he's back to going to bed okay, but he keeps waking up crying and whimpering
(5) Who do you plan on having/did you have in the delivery room? Why?  MH, the med student who went to all my appointments starting 3rd tri, midwife, and nurses.  And then because there was a ton of meconium when my water broke, during the actual birth, there were a zillion people in the room - a whole team of doctors and who knows who else.  I didn't want anyone else except MH and the medical staff, b/c I felt like it was a private moment that i didn't want to share with others.
(6) What is something you said you'd never do but then you did? Mamas-to-be: What's something you say you'd never do but secretly think you might?  Hrm, surprisingly, nothing yet, I don't think...!
(7) What are you LO's favorite activities/toys by age?  starting at about 3 mo, he loved his activity mat, the whoozit, and the oball.  around 6-7 months, he loved his stacking cups and liked the jumperoo and his teether.  now, he still loves his stacking cups, and also likes this ball that's covered in little nubs all over (I've seen them used for massage I think?  he chases it around, hehe), his musical table, this pop up toy, and the infantino activity triangle.

25 weeks ? almost 6 months!

(2) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or news in the last week to share?

I?m feeling good. Little girl is finally sleeping a lot better. Less grunting/squirming = more zzz?s

Newest milestone is pushing up on all fours ? she?s only done it a handful of times though

(3) Next appointment date?  Any big ultrasounds/other exciting stuff coming up?

Aug 5th for 6 month check up ? I don?t know why its so delayed must be something to do with the shots

(4) What's been your greatest BR challenge this past week?

Trying to find time to practice feeding her rice cereal.

I planned on only having DH but somehow my mom was in there and then my dad felt left out so it was the three of them! turned out ok though

I said I would never let her sleep in my bed. Boy was I wrong. hahaha

E loves anything she can fit in her mouth and throw. Haha its quite entertaining.

7th week, approaching the 8th week!

(2) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or news in the last week to share?Some days are ok, some days are bad.  The nausea comes and goes.  And when it arrives, it hits me like a ton of bricks.  Eating carbs seems to be the answer to the problem, thankfully!  I've got horrible bloat going on.  I just recently lost 20 lbs. right before we found out I was pregnant but if you saw me, you would never know.  My stomach looks awful.  We leave for Las Vegas (nice timing huh?) next week, so this wonderful look I'm sporting right now should be really fun for my ego!
(3) Next appointment date?  Any big ultrasounds/other exciting stuff coming up?Next Tuesday I have my first OB-GYN appt.  I'm not really clear on how this all works but it sounds like its an appt. with the nurse to get the basics down and then 3 weeks after that, I meet with my actual OB-GYN. 
(4) What's been your greatest BR challenge this past week?Holding this all in as a secret.  We're waiting until we go on vacation next week to tell my parents and family in person.
