My baby is due in Sept and I am going to be using cloth diapers. Do most of you experienced CDers use different types of diapers, i.e., AIOs, pocktes, etc. Or do you stick to one type?
I use 5 Flip Covers with prefolds and stay dry inserts. This is my day system. At night I hope to get some fitteds and still use the Flip covers until I have the money to invest in wool.
I do have a couple AI2s that get rotated in there... but for the most part it is just the one system that works for me. But, I think my stash will morph as we go and as we need.

My stash is a mix of pockets, fitteds, AIOs, and AI2s. I use them all depending on my mood, if we're home or out and about, or if DH/my mom are watching her (some dipes are easier for them than others).
I use mostly fitteds, and AIOs/AI2s when we are out and about. You will figure out what you like, my best advice is to not buy too many of any one thing at first. You might wind up hating it! You can always buy more later if you like something.

First thing in the morning I use fuzzibunz because they're easiest to get the poop off of. Quick errands are usually a pocket (FB or BG) or sometimes an AI2. Longer errands are fitted w/pul cover or BG AIO w/doubler. Around the house is usually a cute fitted (coverless) or AI2. Naptime is a BG AIO w/hemp doubler. Bedtime is a TT fitted/hemp doubler/wool.
Long story short, I absolutely use different diapers for different situations!
I use different ones for different needs. For home I use Econobum covers and prefolds. If we're doing errands, etc. I use GMD fitted Workhorse with a Thirsties diaper cover. If I'm going out for quite a while or he's going pantless I use my Weehuggers cover with a prefold since it's a sized one for his weight and has leg gussets in case there was ever a leak. At night I use the Workhorse fitted with a THirsties cover, or a BG 4.0 with an microfiber insert and a gDiaper insert. I also have BG 3.0 AIO for daddy since he gets a but confused. Variety is honestly just fun for me too. I'd get bored with just one type.
We use mostly pockets (BG 4.0 and Kawaii), but also have Flips and prefolds. Seems like different diapers just fit different situations better! Seems like our collection is always evolving )
(I made the mistake of buying all one brand, all one style before our baby actually was born and am now trying to sell what we don't use as much!)
We have a mix of WAHM fitteds & AI2s, pockets, and prefolds. When we're home, DS is usually in fitteds either uncovered or with wool on top. When we go out, he's in a bumGenius pocket or an AI2 depending. Our BGs are also our daycare dipes. I used prefolds more when he wasn't such a huge pooper but now it seems like there's poop in every dipe and I just don't trust my folding abilities to keep it all contained, so they've been sitting and getting no love recently.
I like a variety too. During the day it's mostly pockets and AIOs. I like the Flip system with organic inserts for out and about, fitteds and wool at night, and the occasional prefold too.
Unfortunately, his daycare does not accept cloth so he is in disposables during the day. It's a long story, but this is our third-choice daycare after the first one didn't have a slot open when we needed it (despite being on the waiting list for a year) and the second had lots of problems and we had to remove him quickly. So I really couldn't push the CD issue.

We use fitteds & wool primarily around the house. I also sometimes use PFs & wool, too.
For out & about we use BG Elementals or Fishnoodles.
When traveling or when all the AIO/AI2s are dirty we use 3 Flips we have.
