Yeah - sorry I was going to post one but couldn't think of anything.
I am having a rough day. So instead of taking a nap or eating I'm just about to put my sneakers on to hop on the treadmill. Hopefully a little exercise and loud music blaring in my ears with help me snap out of it.
This hasn't been a good week so far... between the holiday on Monday, and my mom being on vacation this week, my diet hasn't been the greatest. We went to dinner last night, and the zoo and lunch today w/ her. I ate okay, but definitely not as healthy as eating at home (not enough water, fruits or veggies) I really need to turn it around. Especially because we have oot guests this weekend, so there will be lots of eating out.
I whined below about missing the gym both yesterday and today. I am about to get myself in some workout clothes and do something physical before Evan is up from his nap.
On a positive note, I am wearing a pair of shorts today that were tight on my just a few weeks ago... now they are actually a little loose!
Tomorrow is week 10 of DH and I's weigh in and it will definitely be my worst week yet. We were at bbqs all weekend and it was the same everyday.
Avoid the junk food to have just 1 or 2 drinks...I was starving so I'd get a buzz... lose total control over willpower... give in to hunger and eat tons of junk.
Justin kept taking snacks/desserts off the tables, taking 1 bite- then bringing them to me, "here mama, I no like this- you eat it please". Actually his new thing is, "please eat this, it would make me so happy" (which is what we say about veggies so now it's backfiring I guess) How do I say no when there is a delicious cupcake already in my hand?!?!
Avoid the junk food to have just 1 or 2 drinks...I was starving so I'd get a buzz... lose total control over willpower... give in to hunger and eat tons of junk.
this is my biggest problem... I have a few drinks and my diet goes out the window. Hence the reason I stuffed myself w/ potato salad on Monday... one too many strawberry margaritas! (like there aren't enough calories in the drink already!)

I was drinking mic ultra ("oh it's low carb, 2 won't hurt me") and since I'm such a light weight before I know it I have a "low carb" beer in one hand and a giant brownie in another. I'm like the woman at mcdonalds that super sizes with a diet coke.
On our drive this weekend we're going to stop at a McDonalds with a play place so Evan can burn off some steam mid-trip. I'll probably super-size with Diet Coke. Haha..but really, I told DH I'm getting a Big Mac...and McDonalds has good Diet Cokes so I'll be getting one of those too I'll probably vomit before we even get in the car (not on purpose)....I once saw an episode of Oprah where this really fat lady would go through the drive thru and order a ton of food and TWO diet cokes...just to make it seem like she was ordering for two people. As if the worker didn't realize when a 600lb lady drove up what was really going on...at least I'm not like that!

yeah, great job. I can jog for about 12-15 minutes before I feel like I'm gonna puke!
I did end up dragging my butt to the gym, and did about 30 minutes of strength training (back and biceps) and then 30 minutes of cardio (15 on the elliptical, 15 on the treadmill... walking on the highest incline, NOT running!)
WOW, I couldn't run for 5 minutes! That is great. I managed to lose a pound in the last week despite my first pp period, Mia giving up sleeping (for the last 2 weeks which is totally my eating trigger) and not working out for 7 days. Now I need to not screw it up! Unfortunately, I am sitting up waiting for her to wake up (as she has for 2 weeks) and thinking about what to eat. LOL.
