Ribbed waistband. B hates jeans because of the stiffness/bulkiness around his waist.  SIL bought him some like this from Crazy 8 (non-cargo) a couple months ago. He wore them over the weekend and loved them.

(these are boy sizes...but they do have them in baby boy also)

77kids (AE's kids' clothes) has had similar pants in the past, as well.

I always buy a few pairs like this - usually from 77kids b/c they fit Jack better (gymbo corp pants run too wide for him) - b/c they are great for school for him and he doesn't fight me on wearing them.
