F/U to Vent Post Below

In the vent post below I mentioned a neighbor brought a peanut dish to our house last night.  She sent me an email this evening that made me teary it was so thoughtful.  For all the bad times we, as food allergy moms, have with friends, family, neighbors and strangers, it's nice to get an appropriate response every once in a while.  Just had to share...

 

I just feel so bad for bringing the pasta with peanut sauce ? I was just plain not thinking about {your LO's} allergies.  I can only imagine your horror at finding peanuts in your house.  I am so, so, so, so, so, sorry.  Fortunately you were on top of things and we avoided any crisis (and he?s so good about listening to you!!). 

 

We had a wonderful time and I am sorry I missed the fireworks but I just had not more zip in me as the night progressed.  I hope the fireworks were spectacular!

 

Again ? my most sincere apologies for being so careless, I know it?s a very serious allergy.

How nice.  Lesson learned and I am sure she will think twice about what she brings anywhere from now on.  Too bad she didn't think about it before, but that is a really supportive response.

That is so nice!  I am glad there are understanding people out there.  So many people don't realize how serious this stuff is!
