regrets only RSVP

Man, do I regret doing that for DS's first birthday party!  I invited our families (parents and siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, first cousins) and a few close friends.  It was kind of an exorbitant number.  And not one person has RSVPd a regret (except for a couple obvious ones)!  ACK!

That's the last time I'll do "regrets only."  And I thought it'd be easier...

Now, to figure out how many cupcakes I need to make!

Re: regrets only RSVP

  • Yep, I did a general RSVP because some of my friends are notorious for not RSVPing. I figure I may have to call them all the week before the party to confirm, but that's ok.

P.S. Can you believe our kiddos are almost 1?!

  • Don't feel too bad - even w/evites - where you only have to click a button - a lot of people don't bother to RSVP.  I would make cupcakes for the amount of people you think really will show up and have some extra store bought ones on hand...
  • Sounds like a fun party.  :)  Go with your gut and for the folks you aren't sure of you can always causally say "See you on Saturday" and see how they respond.
