Ok, I am not new to this pregnancy thing. I am pregnant with child #5 and I am clueless on what newborns/babies need. My children are roughly 3 yrs apart except the gap between 3 & 4 is 6 years apart. I read all of the "what your baby's need" articles and books but it doesn't seem to be clicking to well. My babies were always fairly long and had huge feet to be newborns so I never did socks for a while. Got the diapers and bassinet, even a swing, a few shirts but its like I have blocked all knowledge of being a new mom completely!!!!! Anyone else got amnesia with there pregnancy?
Re: Why have I forgotten what babies really need??!!!!
Im not pg now but my "babies" are 5yrs now and I couldnt tell you much more than clothes, diapers, formula, bottles, carseat, swing, blankets, wipes. :P
Other than that I couldnt tell you. I have also forgotten all other knowledge I once knew about things like at what age to give cereal, solids etc, when milestones happen (I would have to look at when my older 3 did them to compare lol)
A friend of mine has a baby and was talking about her soft spot not closing up yet and being worried. I cant remember when that is suposed to happen. lol
You are not alone. I think with a large gap its almost like being a new mom again. After so many years of being sleep deprived and busy busy busy with kids stuff that part of the brain gets used for something else and all unused knowledge is erased. :P
