DS will be 18 months when #2 arrives, and although it would be awesome to have him potty trained, I'm sure that is wishful thinking.
Our stash is 100% OS pocket diapers. We have about 24 I think.
If you have 2 in diapers, how many do you have? Do you have a mixture of types?
What would you suggest I do...
1) buy a significant amount of additional diapers
2) put new LO in disposables until #1 is potty trained (we didn't start CDs with #1 until he was 4 months)
3) make do with only 24 diapers for 2 kiddos
4) something else?
Re: 2 in diapers!?
You may very well have another year of diapering child #1 after your new baby arrives, so I would just expand the stash.
We have mostly AI2's and fitteds.
I will have 2 in CD's.
G wears OS pockets and the occasional econobum.
I bought the new baby about 20 NB/S size AIO's and I have some prefolds and covers. All in all for the new baby I spent about $150. Her dipes are WAHM or used. I figure this will get her through until she is big enough for his OS. There is no way a OS will fit a NB even on the smallest rise.
Thanks all.
I'm definitely waiting awhile to buy anything but the thought was just a little overwhelming! I switched to CDs primarily because "we'd only have to use these 24 diapers and never buy again for all of our kids." Well, not so much!
I've never had luck with prefolds but maybe I need to practice a little more.
I appreciate the advice!
