I was wondering if anyone could recommend a great swim instructor/school for private lessons or very small group in Broward County? My twins are 15 months old and we are looking to sign them up for lessons. Recommendations are greatly appreciated!
I didn't like little swimmers and wouldn't recommend them. I didn't care for the method that the instructor used with my daughter, they spent the entire 30 minutes having her swim from the instructor to the wall and back for the whole class. They never had her blow bubbles as a way of teaching her to hold her breath and never had her hold the wall and just kick to teach her how to kick. They just said "kick kick kick" assuming she would know how to kick in a pool. I know it works for a lot of people, but I was less than impressed with them.Plus my daughter got a stomach bug that I'm pretty sure came from their pool. But, that was my personal experience with our instructor. I know several friends who went there and liked it.
I'm now using a private instructor at the pool at my community, her name is Michelle and I really like her. Her email is MVRose82@gmail.com
We just did 2 weeks @ Little Swimmers. I enjoyed it and Elise learned to like the water. But, I can see that she could use some private lessons @ home in our pool in the future.
I don't know if you are still looking but we attended lifestyle swim school in Boca Raton. Which was held at FAU campus. They were great my son was swimming before he was a year old. We still get shocked looks when he just jumps in a pool.
