Decorating a nursery with slanted ceilings (Cape cod style)

Does anyone live in a Cape Cod house? DH and I are remodeling the upstairs of our house (our bedroom and future nursery) and are trying to figure out the best use of space (including closets etc.) I'd love to get ideas and see pictures if anyone else is in the same predicament!
After two losses, a rainbow arrived! DD born 11.5.11
Dx with severe Asherman's syndrome after a botched PP D&C (pursuing med mal)
Hysteroscopy Oct '13, not enough progress
Hysteroscopy Jan '14, given an end-of-the-road diagnosis

Not ready to give up yet.
Hysteroscopy with Dr. Isaacson (an expert in the USA) 6.2.14: Good prognosis, at least 50% of cavity open.
Repeat hysteroscopy scheduled with Dr. I on 6.16.14. Great progress. Unbenched!!!!
Discussing actively TTC with DH after the heartache of the last year. We're both reeling.

Please, please, please.

My only issues are how to hang the mobile and it is hot here in Texas so the high ceilings make it hotter.  I'm going to make some really cool jellyfish or octopus mobiles and hang them on each side of the ceiling fan.  Maybe?

  • It wasn't too bad actually.  Luckilly our ceilings are not too low/slanted that I can put a dresser and crib up against the slanted walls.

  • Thank you both! Ours is very similar to the second post (love the nursery btw) so it is a challenge because there are so few areas on the walls where you can hang anything. Closets are a major issue too!
