DH has had a cold for the last couple of days and even though we hardly were in the same room with each other and I sanitized everything like crazy I think I have it now too

I woke up with a sore throat and I have progressively gotten worse all day.  That means that I can't go see Peter in the NICU which is devastating.  And he has been getting better at bottle feeds so they took his feeding tube out today. It is the first time my baby hasn't had any sort of tubing on his face and I can't go see him. 

I know it is best for him that I stay home but it is so hard being away from my baby.

That does stink....I hope you are better really quickly and can go see him soon.  Congrats on him losing the feeding tube - that's great news!

NOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooo! I'm so sorry! Seeing your LO's face for the first time - their whole face, with nothing on it - is one of the best days ever!! Hope you both feel better soon so you can get to see it - are you friendly with any of the nurses? I bet they'd text you a photo!

This happened to me while LO was in the NICU and it was a terrible feeling.  I felt like he would think I was abandoing him or didn't love him.  I would keep in contact with the doctor and he or she can specifically tell you when you can come back.  I was allowed back if I wore a mask, once most of my symptoms went away.
