Anyone NOT like their minivan?

DH is on a minivan fix lately and I'm not completely on board. Is there anything ya'll don't particularly like about them?

No, I love my specific minivan (2011 Sienna). But, I do get upset at the general part of driving one sometimes. They are just such....minivans. Makes me feel like I should get some mom jeans and a perm. 

We traded a huge rocking all black Suburban for this and I miss having a "cool" vehicle sometimes. But, minivans are easier by far. As much as I pine for my Burb, I dont think I would take it back.....

BTW- We have done 2 long term (30 days each time) rentals with Chrysler T+C's and HATED THEM. Absolutely HATED. 

This, but we have a dodge grand caravan.  I hate the "minivan stigma" but it makes my life so much easier that it's worth it.

I love mine, but I have had mine for years and can't wait to get a newer model. (I have an 02 Odyssey and will get a new one in a year or two.) I don't like that my windows in the automatic doors don't roll down. They do on the newer models though.

I love my minivan.   

Maybe the stigma is the only thing I don't like.  At the same time, most of my friends drive them so I don't feel like I'm the only "minivan mom".  I was thinking the other day that I never get 'checked out' anymore - lol.  May be that I'm "old" now, may be the minivan thing.... may be both. Ha!

I love love love my minivan. Without it, we'd either travel with kids or with stuff/groceries, never both. Now we can have a double stroller, groceries, extra diapers/wipes/blankets/coats, plus us and the kids, PLUS an entire third row (currently unused) of seating.

I don't have a minivan, or 2u2 yet, but I'll reply haha. The reason I'm not a fan of them is because they don't have 4 wheel drive. I hate driving in winter and feel so much better when I have 4 wheel drive.

Interestingly, our Caravan handles better on our icy roads (and our muddy roads in the spring - we live rural) than our Ford F150 4x4.

I vowed to never have a minivan & well I have one...and I must say I love it.  I don't like the whole minivan stigma thing but it definitely makes your life much easier.  It's so nice having automatic doors with 2 little ones.  And I just love that I have the trunk space.

DH vowed that we would never get one and guess what?  We're getting one!

He gets a choice of cars for his company car and our Escape is up and we decided that no one in heck would 2 carseats plus my stepdaughter (8) would fit in the SUV option that they had so we went for the minivan.  We are getting the one with all the power options and the DVD's.  We're pretty excited for it - should be here at the end of July!  We are getting the Grand Caravan.

I have the 2011 Toyota Sienna and LOVE it!  They do offer an All Wheel Drive model, although it is more expensive so I just got the FWD.

The Toyota Sienna comes in 4 wheel drive.  Ours does great on snow covered roads and we live on a big hill.  The sacrifice is gas mileage...only about 17-20 mpg.

Oh Lord, I hope my husband doesn't figure this out. He wants a Sienna after all of those commercials they put out. But then he admitted that it wouldn't be as cool as he thought because he would have to drive and not be able to use the tvs or the tables, only the kids would get to lol. That's why we got a Pilot.

nope, I love mine BUT I dont like the stigma. The way I look at it, when we have older kids we can get a different car, but for now--when the are in carseats, we need a minivan. We have the honda odyssey 2005.

thanks ladies! they can't seem to keep the Odyssey in stock around here. we put a backup deposit on one if the original buyers change their minds. we shall see...
