I bought this
https://hyenacart.com/Spots_corner/st/200001/87063/Doodle-Dypes-Stripes
a few days ago and it just arrived today. (I don't know if this is a bumpie's item or not, if so, maybe you can clarify)
The listing says it's a Doodle Dypes, but when I got it today it looks and feels completely different from the DDs that I have from DDHQ. First of all, the front flaps are squared off instead of rounded (this is shown in the picture, but I guess I didn't notice when i purchased). Secondly, there is no DD tag on the back. (The back wasn't pictured in the listing) Third, the inside doesn't feel like microfleece or microchamois. It just feels like brushed cotton. (I emailed the seller ahead of time to make sure it was an AI2, and they said it was, so I was expecting microchamois on the inner.) Fourth, it seems much smaller than the DDs I have. (I can't confirm because they are all in LOs room and she's asleep, so I'll have to compare tomorrow)
Now I am feeling like I should have asked more questions, asked for more pictures or done some more research before I bought it. Feeling a little duped. Does anyone here have any older DDs? Do you think this one is legit or not? Thanks ladies!
Re: Anyone know what old-style DDs look like? Feel like I may have been duped on Spots.
Yep! That's definitely an old style doodle. She didn't use tags, the wings were squared off and she used a cotton inner. Sandy said it took her a bit to figure out the wicking and make the switch to microchamois.
That's a really high price for a used old style--they all retailed around $18 brand new.
