I try real hard to dress my age. I am beginning to put myself in classic styles. I worry about looking like an old lady or an old lady dressing like a junior.
I think I dress appropriately for my age, maybe a bit younger.
I often wonder what the magic age is where I'm supposed to start wearing elastic waist pants and sweatshirts with snow covered bird houses. And dh can wear colored socks with shorts and sandals.
I feel very in between on clothing--I'm too old for juniors, but some of the misses items seem too "old" for me (Old isn't the right word...but that's the best I have tonight).
I *think* I dress my age. However, I don't *feel* my age, so who the hell knows! LOL

This.
Most of my shirts are from old navy, aeropostale, charlotte russe, etc.
I guess technically most come from the thrift or consignment store, but those are the ones I tend to keep.

Just based on the older ladies around us, H lives in fear of the day I get this hair:
When I worked, even my casual clothes were from places like Ann Taylor/BR, which are cut more conservatively. But now, I wear a lot of Abercrombie and American Eagle. Is that shameful? I wear the same clothes as my 13 year old niece. Sometimes we show up wearing the same top and she is utterly mortified.
I buy a lot tshirts from the 7-16 kid section because it's cheaper and size 14/16 is always on the clearance rack!

i personally can't wait for the new mock color wild bird sweatshirts to come in. my snow coverd bird house one got all stained with a bingo marker mishap.
We should totally do a PIP type post and just judge the hell out of each others style and age appropriateness

I have no idea. I am 40 and at the moment I am wearing a pair of capri pants and a fitted t-shirt. I was wearing the same style when I was 20, so either I dressed like an old lady back then or I'm dressing too young now.
The one thing that I have changed is my make-up, though. I have realized that as I get older, less is more. I still do full face for a night out (in dim lighting) but for daytime make-up, I think too much make-up on "older" women makes them look like trannies.
Work-I dress older...usually Ralph Lauren & similar stuff, almost always blacknor mostly black. I am bigger (size 16) & cheap/flimsy/unstructured clothes look terrible. I am too fat to be comfortable shopoint in some stores (I fear nothing would fit me).
Casual-my age, maybe even younger.
I would say I dress my age sometimes younger. I tend to shop at The Limited, Banana Republic (outlet), Maurice and Loft. I am not yet back to my pre-pregnancy weight, 10lbs left to loose! Then I am going shopping!
Appropriately young! I may be married with children, but I'm not dead or elderly. I can only wear VERY small sizes, so I'm sure a lot of what I wear other women wouldn't consider, but that's what's available for my frame and is fitting. I definitely know better than to cross the "hoochie" line. I refuse to wear anything with a logo on it: "American Eagle" "Pink" "Abercrombie" "Old Navy" "Gap"...you get the idea. But, honestly, I don't even shop at any of those stores for my clothes. I tend to gravitate more towards boutiques that carry lines that can't be found in big box stores.
Re: Question: do you dress your age, younger, or older?

When I buy clothes, I tend to spend my money on more classic pieces. I don't mind splurging on a nicely cut pair of pants or timeless top.
I will bargain shop for trendier pieces that I know I won't wear more than once or twice.
I think I dress my age. I just like to look pretty.
You take my ovaries, I take your yarns.
I've asked my sister to please tell me not to buy alfred dunner when I get old. PLEASE don't let me ever let me get to that point!

For real!
I don't know. You tell me.
I live in t-shirts, jeans and Chucks (flip flops in the summer) when I'm not at work. I'm 30.
