My husband and I have decided that within the next couple of months we wanted to start a family. I was thinking about my diet and switching to natural foods, etc. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions??
Eat normally and remember that TTC can take longer than you might expect... Also, if you're planning to start working out/training, just go ahead and start. What you do before you get pregnant as long as it isn't high impact (volleyball, soccar, football) is fine to do while pregnant....

This. If you are already following an exercise routine, be sure to stick with it now so that you can continue into pregnancy. I also started taking a PNV and folic acid as soon as I started TTC. If you eat a lot of junk, it wouldn't hurt to clean your eating habits up a little. Also, for clarification, volleyball is fine during pregnancy. I played until the end of my season, which brought me to 22 weeks. Sorry for the lack of paragraphs, posting from phone.
We will be starting ttc in October (when I finish my Lupron treatment) and I have decided to do the same. I want to lose about 10 pounds before I get pregnant. I've starting eating healthier. We already had switched over to more natural foods (fresh meat from local butchers all natural no hormones etc) just because. But I have cut out all junk food and been trying to eat more fruits and vegetables and switched over to leaner meats and whole grains. I also have been working out 6 days a week. Yes ttc could take a long time and you don't want to go crazy cutting things out just for pregnancy. But it is always a good idea to eat healthier and live healthier for the sake of being healthy. And that will benefit your baby as well as you. Good luck
First things first...start taking a prenatal vitamin with at least 800 mgs of folic acid. Making healthy food choices is also a good idea but don't over do it. If you don't have an excerise routine in place yet start now even if it is just walking and lifting light weights...trust me it makes a difference! I am 36 wks 6 days and still walking 2 miles about 4 days a week and lifting light weights and I feel great-not a miserable 3rd trimester momma yet.
I was just wondering, I've seen "overweight" women get pregnant and there not be that many problems, I just wondered if I'm freaking out too much. I'm 19, so I don't think I'll have as many complications as most mothers today because they tend to get pregnant later in life, but I am overweight. I've been trying to eat healthier, and I'm taking prenatal vitamins and folic acid because we were going to conceive hopefully in the next three months but just wondering if you have any advice or tips on this health issue (other than omg your'e so young lol).

Hi,
I was just wondering, I've seen "overweight" women get pregnant and there not be that many problems, I just wondered if I'm freaking out too much. Thanks for all your time!
