How to serve Bratwurst?

I'm having people over tonight, it's what they suggested since it was easy and I'm a meat moron cause I grew up vegetarian.  Do you serve it on a hot dog bun?  What do you serve for toppings?  Are corn on the cob and baked potatoes good sides?

We put ours in hot dog buns. I only eat ketchup and mustard on mine but I think the regular hot dog sides like relish and onions, maybe??

Serve it on a bun - what works best is if you boil in beer and then throw it on the grill for a few minutes to crisp up and dry out a little bit. I generally cook some onions and peppers to put on top of it.?

Both sound like yummy sides - just serve with it anything you'd serve with a normal burger/hotdog.?

I always serve them on hotdog buns. For toppings I use cooked onion and bell pepper, and some mustard. I think corn and baked potatoes sound fine!

sauerkraut or however u spell it is usually a staple with it.

Hot dog buns are ok, but they actually sell brat buns which are a little thicker (unless that's just around here).  Relish, saeurkrat, onions, ketchup and mustard are good toppings.

Your sides sound fine, baked beans also go well with them.

When we cook them we grill and then boil beer and onions and put them in there after grilling.  We get brat buns (in the bakery section almost like a small hogie bun).  I only like ketchup and onions on mine but I think other people eat them with sauerkraut and mustard too.  I think relish is a mortal sin to put on brats.  We usually have them with corn on the cob or potato salad and chips.
