I was just curious how much does your 5 or 6 week baby weigh? My son has got to be around 11/12 lbs and was 8lbs 9 oz at birth. He looks like he is 3 months old. He is EBF and wants to always eat. Luckily he's a pretty good baby.
My Vivienne will be 5 weeks tomorrow (Saturday, 7/2). I'm not sure what she weighs exactly, but I'd guess it's around 8 pounds. She was born 6 pounds 4 ounces. She is also EBF and eats like a champ! DH thinks she snacks and comfort nurses too much. I can't get him to understand that it increases supply. Silly boy!
Me - 40, DH 34 Married 11 years, TTC since 7/09 3 rounds of Clomid > Vivienne born 5/28/11
TTC#2 since 01/13 - 3 rounds of Clomid, 2 IUI w/injectibles, moving to IVF
Ok, so Milo will be 11 weeks on Sunday, but his adjusted age will be 5 weeks. He was 6 lbs 10.6 oz at birth (34w1d) and as of a week ago Thursday weighed 11-2. My guess is he's around 12 lbs now... at one point a couple of weeks ago he was gaining 2 oz/day! He's been EBF for 2 1/2 weeks now - woo hoo (this after IV/feeding tube/bottle in the NICU). Nurses every 1 1/2 - 3 hours (mostly every two).

I can't remember what DS was at that age, but I mostly BF'd then and he was always gigantic. I stopped supplementing when he was about 6 weeks and he became even more gigantic - 95th percentile. Some kids are just big kids, doesn't matter whether they're FF or BF.
I'm sure mine aren't great comparisons, on average they're taller than most (and heavier as babies). S was 10lb 12oz at birth and 14lb 3oz at 6 weeks, EBF. Although I have had friends with some pretty roly FF babes too. I think she's over 25 at 8 months, so she's slowed some. I may be off too, she's likely heavier, but I haven't weighed her in a month. Probably a better description is that she is currently dressed in 18m clothes and the shirt is too short and her pudgy belly is showing!
I have a big boy too! Hudson weighed 7 lbs 13 oz at birth and at 5 weeks was 11 lb 4oz so he is in the 80th percentile across the board for height and weight. He maybe has a couple weeks left in 0-3 month clothes...
He's huge and EBF for the entire time. He still kind of cluster feeds in the evening, but for the past week he has been sleeping 5-6+ hour stretches at night. knock on wood!
Re: 5-6 weekers
OK... my DS is nearly 2, and was formula fed, but he was a big baby (9 lb at birth) and weighed 11 lb 10 oz at 1 month.

gaining weight has never been an issue for us. he was 9lb 14 oz at birth and on the rise ever since
he's 13months old and weighs 25 pounds and is 33 1/2 inches long.
we never wore newborn clothes and were in 3-6 month clothing by 2 months.
he now wears a 2T and even those can be small.
i'm growing a giant here. Lol
We are at 5 weeks adjusted & about 9 lbs; he was 3, 11 at birth and has been EBF.
