In almost every one of A's pictures until she was 2 she looked like a red head. She is not red at all.  I would go with auburn.

I think he has red undertones. I have the same thing. In the sun the red comes out, and now DS is starting to get a red tint to his hair.

Oh he's too cute! And i'd agree that it's an auburn, but in two of those pictures it does look more brown. Cute none the less.
