1)  DH got a summons for Jury Duty. He's "on call" for the entire.month.of.August. Not cool.  He's filling out the online thing to hopefully postpone it, but seriously. WTF.  This is my luck today.  Mind you, I wouldn't mind serving on a jury myself, but the idea of him tied up in some trial when I go into labor thank you very much.

 

2)  DH found a dead blue crab in our backyard.  And it was still blue. As in not steamed.  We do not live by the bay, folks.  Our neighbors have a boat that they take out frequently, so I'm assuming maybe one got away or something because how else would it have ended up behind our shed.

DING! DING! DING!  I've reported it, but my non-existant child will celebrate their 10th birthday by the time we hear anything.  Several of us made requests over a month ago that we're still waiting to hear about....

Back to the topic at hand, I can't imagine your DH would have any trouble getting off jury duty or having it postponed.

That's what I'm hoping - he's already filled it out online saying I could give birth at any time pretty much in that month and we have a 2 year old to take care of. But still. Not great timing.

all the bump and nest gods have apparently fallen off the earth. The spam is horrible on some of the nest boards too. And of course mods can't do a damn thing about it.

 

OP, I would think your dh would have no problem getting that postponed at least. and the crab is funny
