Anyone had an evaluation for Sensory Intergration or Sensory Processing Disorder?
I have been in on evaluations for older children since I work in the field, but I've never seen one done on a 16 month old. What does the testing look like?
Thanks
You may want to ask this on Special Needs. I think there is more than one kiddo/mommy there with a dx of SPD.
Our evaluation (for my DD at age 12 months) was a standard EI evaluation that looked at gross and fine motor, speech, vision and hearing, etc.
She had gross motor delays and qualified for OT. The root cause of these problems were sensory processing issues (vestibular).
So I'm not sure the evaluation would be specific to sensory processing disorder.
