anybody made jar cobbler?

I've found a few jar cobbler recipes but wanted to know if anyone has ever made it before?

Also, what type of topping is best...a crumb so like a crumble or like a bisquick or more of a pastry?

Re: anybody made jar cobbler?

  • I made it once, it turned out really well. I think I used a recipe from Not Martha?

Ok, just googled it. I made this one:

We made it for a bake sale, it was quite popular.

  • I have a cobbler recipe where you mix up a bisquick type batter (but it's really just flour and sugar and butter maybe?) and then you put berries on top and when you cook it, the 'crust' seems to somehow rise through it and make a topping.  So I think that kind of batter is what I think of for "cobbler".  I think a crumble topping is a "crisp".  :)
