I have 11 but my dryer is huge and I don't think that is enough- I want to get more- but everything I read is that it is good with 8- am I nuts? lol!

Re: wool dryer balls- how many?

  • I use 6-9 depending on the load.
  • Depends on the size of the dryer balls and the size of your load.  I have 4 big ones from Lucky Hanks on etsy (like softball size) and 5 small ones from another seller I won't recommend because the 6th is now an unravelled cat toy (these are like tennis ball size or a little smaller).  It dries towels/sheets, etc in one long cycle (auto dry), but CDs take 2 to get fully dry (mostly prefolds/AIOs).  My dryer is a large capacity dryer, too.

  • I have been using the plastic pointy ones but I think I need to switch to wool.

  • ok, mine are small, like tennis balls or smaller- so I guess then my 10 are not bad, lol! I want some of those big ones- :) dryer ball obsessed!
