Bad idea right?

A drastic bang change at almost 37 weeks pregnant is a bad idea right? Any major hair change is probably a bad idea at this point.

I've already been told it's a bad idea, I'm praying someone enables me here.

Re: Bad idea right?

  • I need a pic of you and an inspiration pic to render my verdict.  But seriously, do what you want, you've made it this far!
  • gonna go rockabilly short?

I say, do it. or...ok- maybe.

Im trying to remember if I thought short bangs were lower or higher maintenence...

ok- I have long ones now, and I think they're easier.

    ok- DON'T DO IT.

because you want to look as cute as possible with as little effort as possible after baby time.

  • Hair grows back if you hate it.  As long as you can style it easily I would do it.

If doesn't add a lot more maintenance time I say do it! It isn't like you are talking about chopping all of your hair off or anything.

Total lurker here. If you hate them, you could totally bobby pin them while they grow back! I vote for doing it.

Yes!  Do it!  I think they will look incredible on you, and they are long enough to pin back if you need.  I love it!

  • I love it, permission granted.
  • Okay. If I hate it Ozy and Bev will blame all of you.
  • If you were wanting to chop all of your hair I might say it was a bad idea, but I think the bangs would look great!

  • Personally I would wait until after your baby is born for a few reasons.

    1) You might not feel all that beautiful after popping out a baby and you will want to make yourself look pretty, so why not go in for a new do.

    2) You will be so ready to get out of the house alone without your baby by a few weeks PP that getting your hair done is the perfect outing. :)

  • I love those bangs.  I say go for it.

    These were both Bev's arguments.

I texted my hair girl to see if it's still open. She sends out emails about openings so they go quick. My husband has no preference, and even if he did I probably wouldn't listen lol.

  • 100% what SP said.  Also, drastic changes during pregnancy tend to lead to days of sobbing.  Just sayin'.

This is so true. After both kids were born this was my pick me up mommy day. A new style when i was feeling every bit of being pp.

  • Do it.

Why not do it now? I don't get it. It's not that much of a change from what you have now. I wouldn't suggest a drastic cut with pixie bangs that will take you 2 hours to do every day though. But that PIP? ABSOLUTELY

  • I would say not just yet. It's a super cute style but a lot of women lose a ton of hair postpartum. I ended up with a ton of short wisps in the front of my hair due to breakage and hair loss. Wait to see how your hair reacts. You may really want the bangs afterwards if you have the small wisps. If you end up with an area that really loses hair, the bangs might attract attention to it.
