How crazy popular are Daniel and Joseph. I seen the SS list but wondering if they've died down some or will...... We love the classics and they are my hubby's fn and mn. We both agree having common names, we hated being one of 20 in our class....
Thoughts.... Oh and thoughts on Daniel Joseph Jr, Joseph Daniel (nn JD too many Joeys on my italian side vs his irish side) Brendan Xavier (Xavier is a family name) Justin Xavier, Rypken Joseph, or send suggestion! Beware, most true classics are taken. DS 1 is Jacob nn Jake. Love Derrick but my BF is due with me and that's her all time fav so that's out.... Ugh this process is killing me slowly....
TIA
Re: Ok so I know overall these are popular but how about nowadays?
Daniel and Joseph are such good, classic names, if I wanted to use them, I'd use them. Do you want a Jr.? Xavier is my favorite of the names you've listed, but all of them are nice.

I don't know what Rypken means, but please don't name your child that. I'd go with Daniel to avoid sibling J names. Just remember that any time you choose a common name, you run the risk of having your child be one of many with that name.
In 2010 for New Jersey, Daniel was the #6 name for boys and Joseph was #5. It's up to you whether that's too popular.
Ripken is ok, Rypken is not. I'm from Baltimore. I get it. I think it's cool.
I do not like Jrs. In this day and age it's more of a hassle than anything else.
Francesca Pearl is here! Josephine Hope is almost 3!
Daniel and Joseph are solid names, but most certainly have a decent possibility of having other Daniels and Josephs in their class/social circles.
I personally find juniors to be egotistical and off-putting.
Rypken: No. No. Please no.
This, exactly! I love Xavier! If you don't want a Jr., you could do Joseph Xavier or Daniel Xavier.
