I was further along than I thought...

I just got home from my post op appointment.  My doctor discussed the ectopic surgery with me and let me ask my questions.  One question I asked was "how far along was I a week or two?".  He says to me that I was about 7 weeks!  My heart sank.  He then proceded to tell me over and over again just how lucky I am that I did not have a rupture and that I lost very little blood.  He said my insides are beautiful and he has no idea why it happened, but I will be ready to try again in two months.
3 ectopic pregnancies (EDD's 1/30/12-tube removed, 6/2/12-methotrexate and 10/2/12-methotrexate)
IVF and Natural FET resulted in BFN's and a hole in our wallets
Natural BFP #4 on 9/7/12 gave us our miracle on 5/18/13

    I am so sorry for your loss.  No matter how early or late, a loss hurts. 

    (FWIW, when you ovulate, you are considered already in week 2 of your pg.  When most women find out their pg, they are already in their 4th week.)

    Again, I'm so very sorry.

    So sorry for your loss. I was about 7 and a half weeks along when I had my miscarriage. This board is a great place for support. If you are planning to TTC again in a couple of months you might want to check out the TTC after a Loss board as well.

    Thank you.  It did not make it hurt anymore, but being a few weeks further along tugged at my heart strings a little mostly because with an ectopic the further along you are the more likely you are to have a rupture...

     P.S. I am aware of the pregnancy timeline...I should have written 3/4 weeks...sorry
