Made an appt with RE!

DH and I sat down the other night and had a huge heart to heart talk.  He is the quiet type and I told him that him not talking to me about this "process" makes me feels like he does not care. Which, of course, is NOT  how he intends it.  He told me lets "git r done", and go see someone and gets us baby.  So I gave up and made the appt with the RE, it is a really small office, the RE actually does the blood work and ultrasounds herself.  Our appt is August 4th, which seems like a long way away, but hey we have been trying since March of 2010 so what is one more cycle huh???

Yay for taking the next step!  I could have written your first 3 sentences about MY dh!  I tell him pretty often that I need more than "I'm sorry" when I tell him that AF arrived.  He NEVER talks to me about anything because he says he doesn't like to see me sad.  But he has no idea how sad it makes me to feel like I am alone in this quest.  I am so happy that you got thru to your dh. 

Good luck with your appt.  It does seem like a long way off but maybe you will get pg this next cycle while you are waiting!

Yay for moving forward!  It was a hard phone call to make, and DH and I waited a few extra months until we felt more ready.

Thanks guys!  Yes, I sat in my office  for 2 hours researching the doctor (again) and was soooooo nervous when I called.  The secretary said they would get my medical records from my OB, to come in with a list a questions, and to know my cycle day, because they go by cycle day.  She said I may have bloodwork and ultrasound that day depending on my cycle day.  She said I would leave there with a plan of action, or at the very least options  for us to discuss.  Yay!!!

Great news!  August does not seem like that far away execpt for when you want it to be here now.  DH often does not say much because he doesn't know what to say.  That usually ends up in his saying the wrong thing.  He did find an article that talked about how to talk to your wife when dealing with infertility and it really did help.  He used to send flowers on CD-1 and it irritated me.  It explained to him why that is such a bad idea.  It has taken him a while but I think that he finally gets it.
