what is this baby item called?

I do not know the name of it...

It is a cloth - sorta like a burp cloth but its thicker and waterproof, but not crunchy or plasticy.   Its like it has a waterproof layer in the middle of it and sorta feels like a thick picnic table cloth...  but they are maybe like 12" x12" or so....  

I think maybe you would put it down in the crib or floor under their head or butt to catch any spills that may come about...  and prevent things from getting wet?   

I think...  I am not actually 100% sure.

    Yep - lap pads.

    But I would highly recommend in investing in an ultimate crib sheet (or 5 in my case)

    I thought I picked some up at the twins sale but now after looking at them online I think i got something else... I dont know what it is!  it looks smaller than that.  Are these the size of the entire top surface sheet in the crib?   What i got are like half that.

    There are both types. I used the ones that only covered part with my singleton, but since I plan to co-bed the ultimate will be easier for us. The others are great too, though!
