How old to use jump seat on sit-n-stand stroller?

I'm looking at the Baby Trend Sit-n-Stand Double and the Joovy Caboose. Both say that child should be 2.5 to use the jump seat.  Did anyone use this at an earlier age?

    Yup.

    We were using the jump seat at around 20 months with no problems.

     

    Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
    Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
