Fertility Specialists Near Providence Area?

HI ladies, I live near Foxboro, MA but would rather see a Specialist near Providence then have to drive all of the way up to Boston if I can find someone amazing closer to me.  I have an 8 Day Luteal Phase and (Monitored) Clomid does not seem to be helping. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I am nearing Cycle #10 and after all of my testing with OB have deicded that it is time to see an RE.

Thanks in Advance.

I don't have anyone to recommend, but I know some ladies on the RI Nest board have seen REs in Providence. You could post over there for recs, because as slow as it can be over there, it is not as dead as this board is usually.

Good luck! Hope you find someone great!

  • I saw Dr. Wheeler.  She is with Women & Infants and her office is right across the street from the hospital.  I've had friends that have seen others that are in the same practice.  Good luck.

  • I started at Women and Infants with Dr. Bhagavath.  I also preferred to go to Porivdence over Boston. However, I had no results (i.e. did not make hardly any follicles). I am now with Boston IVF and Dr. Brian Berger out of Quincy. While I am not yet pregnant (currently in the 2ww), I am MUCH happier with his plan for me. He definitely individualized it for my profile. I was not happy with my experience with the other practice.

  • I'm sorry you're having troubles, I know what you're going through.  I went to Reproductive Science Center in Providence.  I was really happy there, I loved the staff.  There is a new doctor since I went, though.  But you don't see the doctor very often (only the first appointment and if you need to go to IVF), so to me the staff is more important.  I'd highly recommend them! I was a patient for about a year and now I have a beautiful daughter (and seven frozen embryos). Best of luck to you, let me know if you have any questions!

  • I live in Berkley, MA & was in a similar situation as far as avoiding Boston traffic like the Plague. I saw Dr. Pagidas at Women & Infants which is the sam practice mentioned above that has Dr. Wheeler. I really liked how accomodaing they were as far as scheduling & once the treatment did work I had complications (I bled whole 1st trimester) They had someone on call 24-7 & they would call me back right away & schedule me to come in 1st thing in the am for an u/s to make me feel better. I highly recommend them its right off the highway so its easy in & out & they open early so you can still get to work after your monitoring.. Good Luck...

  • i live near providence but i wasn't successful at rsc or woman and infants fertility clinic. I used Umass the belmont campus and had success on the first shot . I am high risk I got to meet the ob that was hand picked for me before starting treatment. My fertility dr  was or is the chair of fertility and my ob is chief of labor and delivery as well as the head of high risk. I like the fact you have one dr not many. Had a scary expereince in woman and infants but umass has been wonderful and on top of everything. I lost 2 lo in second trimester I am now successfully on week 33 :D

  • Hi,

I used Dr. Wold with Fertility Solutions. She has a Providence office and an office in Dedham with 5 other doctors. Her web address is fertilitysolutionsne.com I believe and her phone number is 401-277-1930 She is absolutely amazing!!!

  • The new doctor there is horrible! She is more concerned about money then the results and patients. I have had screwed up cycles from them as well as others that have gone to them. I left with Dr. Ann Wold, she is great and has her own office at Fertility Solutions in Providence, right near the hospital as well.
